For the Into the Wild project we all read the book Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer. we also made journals that we would put our entries in that we would write in on our camping trip to Anza-Borrego State park. We had to have a minimum of 3 journal entries as well as take at least 20 photographs.
For exhibition we were required to choose one of our entries from our journal and edit it and add on to it. Here is my submission piece: |

A Venturous Climb up the Mountain
It was day two of our trip and we all got up to get ready for the hike up to the palm oasis. Just the feeling of climbing all of the big rocks and trying to find your right footing made the climb even more enjoyable. Also being under the heat and walking and talking with my fellow peers. I was hiking with Rytz and Kaysia. We felt like monkeys. We were climbing over rocks, and jumping from logs over the rivers. At one point I had no choice, but to walk straight through the river. The water flowing through my shoes was a refreshing feeling. It was nice being in the middle of everyone. There were people in the back to help push others to gain their confidence and finish the hike and the ones in front to lend a helping hand when others need it when they were stuck. On our way up we saw animals and beautiful plants. We were all amazed when we got to the palm oasis which was a wonderful sight to see.
